The Rock Street Van has been operating 8 years within the Redlands. The van provides assistance in a practical way to those who are in need of emotional support and light refreshments. The van operates at local places like skate parks, and Cleveland and Wynnum Courthouses, where they provide support for families and individuals facing difficult times.
Food-Link has been operating for 8 years at The Rock, and has aided hundreds of families each month. Food-Link offers free emergency food parcels to families who might be finding it hard. And for those that might need the service on a more regular basis, for an annual admin fee of $10, with a $35 process and handling fee, families are welcome to receive large food parcels each week - consisting of food well above the value of the administration fee. Food-Link also understands that not everyone can eat all foods - a care-driven system has been implemented to allow people to choose their own food from an updated weekly list.
Food-Link operates purely from donations within the local business community and generous individuals within The Rock Christian Church.
The Rock offers a FREE chaplaincy program to all business within the Capalaba district. This free service includes:
- Weddings
- Funerals
- Pastoral Counselling (for personal and family issues)
- Dedications
- Prayer & Support
To access these services, simply call or drop in to speak to one of the chaplaincy team.
We have a Friday night youth centre - for youth to socialise and have positive input in their lives; games; movie nights.
We also have a number of upcoming projects to take place within our building at 37 Neumann Road Capalaba.
We have a large modern multi media 300 seat Auditorium as well as a smaller meeting room facility for 10-16 people which is for hire at reasonable rates.
We also have a support and referral service for the youth and their families within the Redlands who are effected by Drug, alcohol, abuse, and homelessness.
